what better a handheld Garmin or Magellan handheld?

Looking to buy a relatively inexpensive handheld GPS for geocaching, the canoeing, hiking and hunting. If I get a Magellan eXplorist 210 or be 500le If I go with Garmin, will the Garmin eTrex Legend or Legend HCx. What do you think?

Garmin secure. I eTrex Legend one and love it. I had a couple of friends of the owner of Magellan and the case broke. Although still in warranty, Magellan would not honor it.
